Curated by Patrick Cosgrove
Created -July 2021
Major Revision - May 2025, January 2026
This section is a curated reference library for finding, identifying, and researching targets. It includes major astronomical catalogs, object databases, and survey/atlas resources used to plan imaging projects, verify object IDs, and add accurate context and annotations to your observations and images.
Purpose: “Find targets, research objects, validate IDs.”
This is a curated reference list maintained by Patrick Cosgrove (Cosgrove’s Cosmos). Links are selected for practical value to observers and astrophotographers.
